The First ‘Hub Premier Satellite’

by | May 4, 2022

The Hub, which is focused on supporting the sporting and educational community, is going from strength to strength. It is with pride we announce our new partnership, with Pipers Vale Gymnastics Club.

Nino Severino, Former Olympic Coach, and The Founder of The Hub has built a very strong relationship with Pipers Vale Gymnastics Club over the last 5 years, consistently visiting the club to work with elite gymnasts competing up to international standard. This work was focused around mental skills and mentoring, together, Nino and the staff have created the foundation that has led to this very exciting partnership.

Josie Hayes and Will Banthorpe invited The Hub Team to a number of meetings on site at Pipers Vale to explore the partnership. Recently the fourth strategical meeting was completed which led to the agreement of this very exciting partnership. Both Josie and Will are very experienced gymnastic coaches, both coaching British Internationals, it is safe to say, in their hands Ipswich will continue to develop elite gymnasts that will compete National and internationally, flying the flag for sport in Ipswich.

The Home of The Hub is at St Joseph’s College, Ipswich. At our site, we are creating a sporting concept that we hope will be a game changer for British sport. With this in mind, our ever-expanding team are committed to supporting as many athletes as possible, working with PVGC gives us the opportunity of being integrated into an incredibly professional team, with the advantage of being on site at the gymnastics centre allowing us to support these athletes at their training venue.
The Hub Team of sporting experts have been recruited from the fields of medical, physiotherapy, sports therapy, nutrition, mental skills, mentoring and lifestyle, we are all, very proud to be a part of Pipers Vale Gymnastic Club. This means our team will be integrated on site with the rest of the PVGC coaching team, we will be on hand to offer a fully functioning ‘Back-Room Staff’, normally only implemented at higher league professional football, rugby or cricket clubs, governing body National Training Centres or entities such as English Institute of Sport.

With the benefit of an on-site medical, physiotherapy, sports therapist room and presentation areas, we will be well placed to work with the PVGC team to offer injury prevention programmes, physiotherapy, sports therapy and massaging treatments and a wide spreading educational programme including mental skills, nutrition and mentoring.
